Parenting comes in all shapes and sizes. I’ve learned a thing or two over the years. This is what I set out to accomplish in this collection of essays. Simply, to share my opinions, observations, and impressions learned from
a life devoted to children, and from my particular set of skills. My success is something I attribute to my own good sense and confidence. I believe that we have incredible power, fortitude, and resiliency. I want to empower you to feel the same and develop more confidence in the way you are raising your children.
My stories and reflections are nothing more than anecdotes. They are reflections of what happened to me, and how I dealt with it. So I implore you to read my stories, talk to your pediatrician, find one trusted expert source, but above all, do not become a victim of analysis paralysis. Parenthood is a call to action!
There are times we all just need a sounding board, a gentle listener who will empathize, but also helpful advice. Sometimes, just a new perspective helps us get out of a rut, to make the changes we so need and desire. This is what I am hoping to provide. So please spend a few minutes, read, ask a question, or just relax.
P.S. I am a married, mother of daughters. When my writing reflects this, in my choice of pronoun or turn of phrase, be mindful that this is MY voice. I am not in any way judging or impugning any one’s life choices, or personal circumstances. Every writer has a voice, and this is mine.
